With the conclusion of the winter transfer window, the most active time for Brazilian clubs, Transfermarkt has updated the market values of 189 players playing the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A. And the Brasileirão has a new most valuable player: Vitor Roque. The Palmeiras striker saw his market value increase by €3m to €38m, which now ranks him ahead of new Flamengo star Lucas Paquetá (unchanged at €35m). Furthermore, in André, Gabriel Mec, and Ruan Pablo, three promising talents received significant upgrades in market value as part of the update.
“Vitor Roque entered the 2026 season carrying the weight of expectations that naturally follow a striker with his trajectory,” Transfermarkt Area Manager Brazil, Marcos Watts, said. After returning to Brazilian football, the forward quickly reinserted himself into a competitive environment that demands intensity, verticality, and constant aggression. He was a key player in Palmeiras' title-winning campaign in the 2026 Paulista and has already started the Brasileirão season with three goals in four matches. With the World Cup a few months away and a call-up that seems likely by now, Roque will be under the spotlight for the rest of the year, and European clubs are certain to keep track of his development.”
Another player who has benefited massively from his return from Europe is Kaio Jorge. “Kaio Jorge’s resurgence at Cruzeiro has been one of the most interesting storylines surrounding Brazilian forwards in recent years,” Watts said about the striker, who returned from a disappointing spell with Juventus in 2024. “In an amazing 2025 season followed by seven goals in seven matches for the 2026 Mineiro title campaign, he became the key within Cruzeiro’s attacking structure and saw the perception around him shift from a comeback player to one of the best—if not the best—strikers in the country.” With a market value increase of €4m from €22m to €26m, Kaio Jorge now ranks second among center-forwards in Brazil.
Brazil market values: Corinthians’ stars Yuri Alberto and André stand out
Another striker whose market value has increased significantly is Corinthians’ forward Yuri Alberto. “After periods of inconsistency in previous seasons, Yuri Alberto now appears to be approaching a phase where consistency and confidence are beginning to align,” Watts said. “His current moment at Corinthians as the team’s main attacking reference reflects the complex balance between responsibility and opportunity that often defines the career of a no.9 in Brazilian football. His role extends beyond scoring goals: he is expected to press the opposition back line and carry the attacking burden in matches where chance creation can fluctuate, and his absence is felt in matches where he does not play.” All of that makes Yuri Alberto a candidate to represent Brazil at the World Cup, which could also increase his value in Europe. With that in mind, Yuri Alberto’s market value goes up by €3m to €25m.
While Yuri Alberto is already a more established player at 24, one of his talented teammates has also emerged as a star this season. Only 19, midfielder André received a starting market value of €16m. “André is a physical, technically gifted central midfielder who excels at transforming defensive situations into attacking momentum,” Watts said. “In only a few months with Corinthians' senior squad, he’s shown rapid development and unusual maturity for a 19-year-old. The early European interest feels logical to anyone who has watched him closely: he combines physical readiness, tactical versatility, composure on the ball, and a competitive mentality.”
The two aren’t the only standouts at Corinthians. Another player to watch is Breno Bidon. The 21-year-old midfielder saw his market value increase by 57.1% from €14m to €22m. Another young player to watch is Dieguinho. The 18-year-old Corinthians forward saw his market value increase by 166.7% from €1.5m to €4m. Another player to watch is Tchoca. The 22-year-old Corinthians defender saw his market value rise by 100% from €2m to €4m.
Brasileirão market values: Rising stars Gabriel Mec and Ruan Pablo stand out
Meanwhile, at Grêmio, Gabriel Mec is one of the rising stars of Brazilian football. The 17-year-old playmaker received a starting market value of €12m. “Gabriel Mec is a technically gifted attacking midfielder whose game revolves around creativity, ball control, and an instinctive ability to dribble past defenders,” Watts said. Within Grêmio’s academy structure, he has long been regarded as one of the club’s most refined technical prospects, and his early exposure to the professional environment has only reinforced that perception. Debuting at 17 years of age, Mec represents the type of Brazilian creative midfielder that tends to attract international attention early, particularly from clubs looking for highly skilled playmakers capable of adapting to possession-based systems.”
Gabriel Mec isn’t the only 17-year-old to stand out as part of the update. At Bahia, Ruan Pablo saw his market value increase by €3m from €5m to €8m. “His physical prowess, close control, and ambidexterity make him capable of playing in different offensive roles and creating numerical advantages in transition from defense to attack,” Watts said. “Despite his age, his appearances at the senior level have already shown a mix of flair and decisiveness: he can beat defenders in one-on-one situations and drive into the box with purpose to either finish plays himself or supply the final pass. At only 17, the Bahia academy product has already built a reputation as one of the most exciting young prospects emerging from Brazil in recent years.”
How Transfermarkt market values work
The Transfermarkt market values are calculated, taking into account various pricing models. A major factor is the Transfermarkt community, whose members discuss and evaluate player market values in detail. In general, the Transfermarkt market values are not to be equated with transfer fees.
The goal is not to predict a price but an expected value of a player in a free market. Both individual transfer modalities and situational conditions are relevant in determining market values. Examples of this are listed below. Transfermarkt does not use an algorithm ( you can find the detailed market value definition here ).
