William Creighton says it is a "huge honour" to be in a position to win the British Rally Championship title at Rali Ceredigion.
Creighton and co-driver Liam Regan have won two rallies and can secure the title at the penultimate round of the BRC season.
Motorsport Ireland driver Creighton narrowly missed out on the BRC title last season and he is a former Junior world and British champion.
"It's been an incredible season so far," said Creighton.
"The competition has been intense, and every rally has asked something different of us.
"To be in a position to fight for the British title at Ceredigion is a huge honour, but we're keeping our focus on the rally itself."
The rally begins on Friday in Wales and the 12th and final stage is on Sunday.

The 27-year-old is competing against his Toyota team-mate Meirion Evans, who can also secure the championship if he wins and Creighton fails to score.
Creighton will secure the title if he wins and local driver Evans is lower than second, or if the Northern Irishman is second and his rival is lower than fourth.
At the very least, a strong result for Creighton will bring the title to the final round of the season at the Cambrian Rally in October.
Rali Ceredigion is a unique event in the BRC season as it runs alongside the European Rally Championship, which will bring the top drivers in Europe to the United Kingdom.
"The stages are technical, fast and unforgiving, and with the ERC drivers here, it's the perfect opportunity to see how we stack up against some of the very best in Europe," Creighton added.
"We are focused on having a clean rally. The approach will be the same as all year, and we have been working very hard between events to ensure we are fully ready for the challenge ahead".
Armstrong and Devine also in action

Creighton will be joined on the rally by Motorsport Ireland's Jon Armstrong, who is an outside contender for the ERC title with three rounds left.
M-Sport driver Armstrong, who finished on the podium in the last round in the Czech Republic with co-driver Shane Byrne, said he was "really looking forward" to the event in Wales.
"Obviously, it's a bit of an outside chance to keep the ERC title fight alive, but we've got two good rallies coming up to finish the season strong.
"Last year here we had some good pace, so the goal is to have a clean rally, enjoy ourselves, and see what result we can bring home at the end.
"The last time out in Barum we finished second, so anything's possible. We'll give it our all, enjoy the weekend, and keep the right foot down."
Irish Tarmac Rally Champion Callum Devine will also get an outing in Wales as he pilots the MRF Tyres Skoda Fabia in a one-off appearance.
"I'm delighted with this opportunity," said Devine.
"I will need to adapt quickly to the MRF tyres, which I have never used before, but the goal is to support the team in the chase for the teams' title and we will give our best to achieve that."
