The league campaigns have effectively finished for the top five leagues with champions crowned in each country. There’s still the relegation play-off to be decided in Ligue 1 but the focus for most elite players has switched to the World Cup with PSG and Arsenal still solely focused on the Champions League final this weekend. Mikel Arteta’s men won the English Premier League for the first time in 22 years to spark jubilant scenes in North London.
Barcelona retained their crown as kings of Spain, while Inter Milan regained the Serie A title. Unsurprisingly, Bayern Munich continued their dominance of the Bundesliga and PSG claimed their five consecutive Ligue 1 title. The top five leagues are the most watched domestic competitions in the world and numerous young talents cemented their reputations as generational talents. Therefore, we’ve analysed which U21 starlets registered the most goal contributions across the top five leagues this season.
U21 starlets with most goal contributions
Lamine Yamal is unquestionably the best teenager in the world and the joint-most valuable player on Transfermarkt at €200 million. The 18-year-old tops the list after registering an impressive 28 goal contributions in 28 games as Barcelona won LaLiga. Yamal scored 16 goals and provided 12 assists to cement his reputation as one of the best players in the world. Several leading attacking talents across Europe feature in the top ten list with Yan Diomande in second.
The Ivory Coast international enjoyed his breakthrough season at RB Leipzig with 21 goal contributions in the Bundesliga to attract serious interest from Liverpool. Nico Paz enjoyed an outstanding campaign as Como qualified for the Champions League and Real Madrid will activate their buy-back option this summer. There are no Premier League players in the top ten list, Kenan Yıldız and Désiré Doué are both notable stars to be included.
