The summer transfer window is heating up, and one position is particularly dominating the agenda across Europe’s elite clubs: the unenviable hunt for a top-class striker. From Manchester United to Napoli, Paris-Saint-Germain to Arsenal, some of the biggest names in football are scouring the market for their next No.9. But with price tags for established stars soaring well north of €50 million, many Sporting Directors are being forced to look elsewhere for smarter, more cost-effective options. These top-teams are ideally looking for a striker with top-five league experience who is not going to blow the budget.

With that in mind, Transfermarkt takes a look at the 10 strikers who could offer serious value for money this summer, by trawling through the database to reveal the 10 strikers with the most top-five league (Premier League, LaLiga, Serie A, Bundesliga and Ligue 1), goals in the last three seasons, who are A) under 30 years old, and B) have a market value of €50m or less. Perhaps these slightly more under-the-radar forwards could lead the line without breaking the bank for some teams this summer.

The 10 strikers with most goals in top-five leagues in last three seasons

Leading the way is Borussia Dortmund's Serhou Guirassy. At 29 years of age, and with a current market value of €50m, the Guinean has scored 60 top-five league goals in the last three seasons. In second is new Juventus signing Jonathan David (€45m) - the 25-year-old has scored 59 goals, but won't move again this summer, having just signed for the Old Lady on a free transfer. Atlético Madrid's 29-year-old striker Alexander Sørloth (€45m) is third with 55 goals. In fourth is RB Leipzig's Loïs Openda (€50m) - the 25-year-old has 54 goals in the last three seasons.

Aston Villa's 29-year-old Ollie Watkins (€40m) completes the top five with 50 goals. The rest of the list consists of Stuttgart's Ermedin Demirovic (€22m) with 38 goals, Brentford's Yoane Wissa (€32m) with 38 goals, Roma's Artem Dovbyk (€30m) with 36 goals, Juventus' Dušan Vlahović (€35m) with 36 goals, and Chelsea's Nicolas Jackson (€50m) with 36 goals.
