The summer transfer window is now in its final few weeks and many sides are still on the hunt for new signings. The biggest clubs in European football and clubs across the continent are still midway through their plans for next season. Teams are working tirelessly behind the scenes on identifying targets and figuring out their budgets.

The rumour mill is beginning to pick up pace and we've collated some of the biggest current transfer stories.

Today's biggest transfer stories

Galatasaray are pushing to sign Manuel Akanji from Manchester City this summer. City chiefs are reportedly willing to sell the 30-year-old with Pep Guardiola wanting to trim his squad. But it remains unclear whether Akanji would accept a move to the Super Lig.

Alejandro Garnacho has reportedly turned down an approach from Bayern Munich in the last few days. The Argentinian winger appears destined to leave Manchester United after a fallout with Ruben Amorim but Garnacho only wants to join Chelsea.
