From thunderous volleys to last-minute winners, every Premier League ground has its fair share of memories and stories - but some have witnessed far more goalmouth action than others. Over three decades of the competition since the league's inception in the 1992/93 campaign, certain stadiums have become theatres of attacking football, where the net seems to ripple every weekend.

Whether it’s the relentless firepower of title-chasing heavyweights or the chaotic unpredictability of relegation battles, these grounds have provided the backdrop for some of the league’s most iconic moments. Transfermarkt takes a deep dive into the stadiums that have seen the most goals in Premier League history - charting the venues where scoreboards have been kept busiest. Four stadiums have been involved in every Premier League season to date and naturally lead the way for goals witnessed.

Stadiums that have witnessed most Premier League goals

Leading the way is the iconic Merseyside stadium of Anfield. Liverpool's home has witnessed 1,801 Premier League goals in 633 games. Just three goals behind that is the stadium of the Reds' rivals -  Manchester United's Old Trafford - the Theatre of Dreams has seen 1,798 goals fly in the 633 matches there. Chelsea's Stamford Bridge takes third position, with 1,768 goals scored at the west London arena. Fourth spot goes to Everton's Goodison Park. The legendary stadium witnessed its final game last term, with the Toffees now moving to the Hill Dickinson stadium on Bramley-Moore Dock this season, but still saw a total of 1,653 goals at the old ground.

Newcastle's St James' Park takes fifth with 1,541 goals scored in 551 games. Sixth goes to Aston Villa's Villa Park, with 1,445 goals. Tottenham's old stadium, White Hart Lane, takes seventh with 1,349 goals. Manchester City's Etihad Stadium lays claim to eighth with 1,302 goals scored. Ninth goes to Crystal Palace's Selhurst Park with 1,161 goals, whilst Arsenal's Emirates Stadium completes the top 10 with 1,030 goals. Arsenal are actually the only club that sees two of their stadiums appear in the top 20, with their old ground Highbury coming in 16th, having witnessed 736 Premier League goals.
