The January transfer window is now little more than a dot in the rearview mirror and as such European football has got back to the business of winning games and challenging for as much silverware and success as possible between now and the end of the season. However, as all football fans know, the rumour mill never truly sleeps and while the summer transfer window may be many months away, there are still plenty of top stories to dig into in the meantime.

Today's biggest transfer stories
Manchester United may be vulnerable to losing captain Bruno Fernandes this summer due to a €62 million release clause written into his contract. The Portuguese playmaker has attracted interest from PSG and Bayern Munich, as well as turning down a move to Saudi Arabia last year. However, United are reluctant to part ways with the 31-year-old.
Liverpool are targeting a move for Juventus midfielder Khéphren Thuram this summer but could face competition from Manchester United. The France midfielder has a market value of €40 million and is under contract until 2029.
Newcastle are one of five clubs reportedly interested in signing Karim Coulibaly from Werder Bremen this summer. The Germany Under-21 international is preparing to leave the Bundesliga outfit and there are several clubs in the hunt, with the Magpies one of those keen on the 18-year-old defender.
