From ruthless No.9s to goalscoring wingers who made a habit of double damage, the Premier League has long been a stage for repeat devastation. Scoring once can win you a game. Scoring twice turns it into a statement. And across more than three decades of top-flight football since 1992, certain players have made that statement more than most. Braces are the mark of sustained dominance.
It is a trait synonymous with the division’s most feared finishers. From the relentless consistency of Alan Shearer to the ruthless precision of Harry Kane and the explosive athleticism of Sergio Agüero, the league’s modern greats have built their reputations on afternoons where one goal was never enough. Using Transfermarkt data, we take a closer look at the players who have scored the most braces in Premier League history.
The players with the most Premier League braces
Leading the way is former Newcastle, Blackburn and Southampton striker Shearer. The division's all-time top scorer also has the most Premier League braces, finding the back of the net at least two times on as many as 57 different occasions. In second place is former Tottenham goal-machine Kane, who scored two or more goals 47 times in 320 Premier League matches. Third goes to legendary former Arsenal forward Thierry Henry; the Frenchman scored 42 braces in 258 games.

In fourth spot is former Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney (41 braces) with Manchester City icon Sergio Agüero (38 braces) completing the top five. Mohamed Salah is seventh with 33 braces, whilst the prolific Erling Haaland is already ninth, with an incredible record of scoring two or more goals 27 times in just 125 matches.
