As this summer transfer window ahead of the 2025/26 season begins to heat up, we wanted to rewind the clocks and take a look back at which signings from this time last year made the biggest impact in the Premier League last season. We have done this by focusing on attacking players. During last summer's transfer window, Premier League clubs spent over €800m on forwards alone, and we have calculated the footballers that signed for new clubs last summer who provided the most goal contributions (goals + assists) in the English top-flight last term.
However, only a very selected few attacking players had a huge impact in the division last season. In fact, no new signings managed to provide more than 15 goal contributions in the Premier League. In comparison, Cole Palmer managed 33 for Chelsea in his maiden campaign at Stamford Bridge in the 2023/24 season, whilst Erling Haaland provided 44 in his first term at Manchester City in the 2022/23 season. So who were the signings that had the best attacking returns last season? Let's find out.
The 24/25 Premier League signings with the most goal contributions last term
Two players lead the way, having both provided 15 goal contributions in the Premier League for their new side last season. Bournemouth striker Evanilson scored 10 goals and provided five assists for the Cherries, whilst Crystal Palace winger Ismaïla Sarr scored eight and assisted seven for the Eagles. In third position is striker Liam Delap. After signing for Ipswich from Man City, he provided 14 Premier League goal contributions - he will be hoping to be on this list again this season having left the relegated-Tractor Boys for Chelsea this summer.
Dominic Solanke, who was replaced by first-placed Evanilson, is fourth, having provided 12 Premier League goal contributions for new club Tottenham last season. Man City winger Savinho takes fifth with 11 goals and assists for the Sky Blues. In joint sixth are Brighton winger Yankuba Minteh and Chelsea's Pedro Neto with 10 goal contributions apiece. Completing the top 10 are three players who managed nine combined goals and assists - Fulham's Emile Smith-Rowe, Everton's Iliman Ndiaye, and Arsenal's Mikel Merino.
