The Minnesota Lynx, behind MVP-favorite Napheesa Collier, enter the WNBA playoffs as the favorite to win the fifth championship in franchise history and first since 2017, after losing in the finals last season to the New York Liberty. One more championship would make the Lynx the winningest franchise in WNBA history.
The Las Vegas Aces finished the regular season as the hottest team in the WNBA, and enter as the second-favorites to win their third championship in four years. The team's 16-game win streak to end the season is the longest in WNBA history, according to ESPN Research, while star A'ja Wilson wrapped up her second consecutive scoring title. The series agains the Seattle Storm is tied at one win apiece, after the Storm won Tuesday night.
The Liberty, Atlanta Dream, and Phoenix Mercury round out the top five.
The expansion Golden State Valkyries, who started the season with a win total line of only 8.5, won more games than any expansion team in league history to clinch a playoff spot. The Valkyries currently trail the Lynx 1-0 in their first round series. They share the longest odds in the field with the Indiana Fever, who will be without Caitlin Clark for the duration of the postseason.
