Today's biggest transfer stories
Chelsea are reportedly lining up two free transfers next summer after reviving their interest in signing Marc Guéhi from Crystal Palace. According to TBR Football, the Blues are keen to bring back Guehi to the club if he does not sign an extension with Palace, while they had a transfer offer for Mike Maignan rejected in June by AC Milan. But the west London club look set to step up their interest in the coming months regarding a pre-contract.
Barcelona have denied reports that Marcus Rashford's loan spell could be terminated early in January. The Manchester United loanee arrived at the Spotify Camp Nou on a season-long loan with an option to make the deal permanent, but a slow start in Spain has raised doubts about him staying for duration. However, journalist Guillem Balague claims Rashford's representatives have been reassured the Blaugrana are keen to retain his services.
Morten Frendrup has admitted he was aware of interest from Brentford and Brighton during the summer transfer window. The Genoa midfielder, 24, was reportedly available for €15million but a move failed to materialise. The Denmark international, speaking to Gazzetta dello Sport, said: “I wasn’t influenced by it. I’ve gotten used to the fact that similar situations can arise during transfer window periods. I’ve always remained focused and concentrated on Genoa.”
