Diomande reached a milestone at the weekend as his equaliser for Leipzig was his tenth goal in the Bundesliga this season. Youngest Bundesliga players to score hit double figures for goals in single season
At 19 years and three months old, Diomande is the fourth youngest player to score ten Bundesliga goals in a single season. It’s an impressive accolade, which highlights his tremendous impact and it’s only four months behind the record-holder, Lukas Podolski. The legendary German attacker burst onto the scene with FC Köln and hit the 10-goal landmark just two weeks before his 19th birthday, during the 2003/04 season.
As the graphic above illustrates, Olaf Thon ranks second with the former Schalke man scoring his tenth goal of the season just nine days after his 19th birthday in 1985. Some notable players feature in the list including Jadon Sancho, Erling Haaland and Kai Havertz.
