With the conclusion of the Brazilian football season, Transfermarkt has updated the market values of 627 Campeonato Brasileiro Série A players. Following the market value update, Santos' star striker Neymar experienced another downgrade. The former Barcelona star saw his market value downgrade by €1m from €11m to €10m. The main reason for his downgrade remain injuries and increased age. At the very top, Palmeiras’ star Vitor Roque is now the most valuable player playing in the Brasileirão. The center forward saw his market value increase by 75% from €20 million to €35m.

“Roque’s increased involvement in Palmeiras’ attack, paired with improved consistency and decision-making in the final third, positions him for a massive market value upgrade,” Transfermarkt Area Manager Brazil Marcos Watts said. “His performances show growing maturity, better physical adaptation, and rising influence in key league moments, making him Palmeiras' most important player in the second half of the season and a top target in the next European transfer window.” Vitor Roque takes the top spot from Botafogo’s Danilo, who saw his market value drop from €28m to €22m.
As a result, Danilo is now part of a group of players in third place. New in second place is Vasco da Gama forward Rayan. “Rayan continues to consolidate himself as Vasco’s most promising talent in the last few years,” Watts said. “His technical development, sharp movement inside the box, and increased confidence at senior level indicate higher long-term potential, justifying a +€7m market value boost.” The 19-year-old saw his market value increase by 38.9% to €25m.
Brazil market values: Kaio Jorge continues sharp increase – Palmeiras stars on the rise
Another talent to watch is Kaio Jorge. The Cruzeiro forward is up by €5m to €22m. “Since joining Cruzeiro, Kaio Jorge has shown clear progress in productivity and tactical maturity,” Watts said. “With more game time and visible confidence on the ball, he became the Brasileirão's top goalscorer and his constant development suggests room for another significant upgrade and a +€17.5m overall gain in 2025.”
Teenager Kauã Prates is another Cruzeiro talent to watch. The 17-year-old center-back saw his market value increase by 500% from €1m to €6m. “Kauã has emerged as one of Cruzeiro’s most exciting young players, showing personality, versatility, and maturity beyond his age,” Watts said. “Even with teammate Kaiki excelling at Cruzeiro's left-back position, Prates' talent earned him solid minutes throughout the season, and a place in this update's biggest winners list with a +€5m upgrade.”
At Palmeiras, two stars saw their market values increase. “José Manuel López’s performances have steadily evolved, making him a more reliable attacking option for Palmeiras,” Watts said.” He improved his scoring contribution, positioning, and adaptability inside the club's new attacking partnership with Vitor Roque, earning him a place in Argentina's national team - a clear signal that his market value has risen.” López saw his market value increase by €8m to now €20m. His teammate Allan saw his market value rise by €6m to €10m. “Allan's consistency, balance, vision, and all-round contributions turned him into an unexpected key-piece in Palmeiras' midfield structure,” Watts said. His improved importance to the club's squad and his recent form earned him a substantial market value upgrade, going from €4m to €10m.” Both López and Allan are among the biggest winners of the update.
How Transfermarkt market values work
The Transfermarkt market values are calculated, taking into account various pricing models. A major factor is the Transfermarkt community, whose members discuss and evaluate player market values in detail. In general, the Transfermarkt market values are not to be equated with transfer fees.
The goal is not to predict a price but an expected value of a player in a free market. Both individual transfer modalities and situational conditions are relevant in determining market values. Examples of this are listed below. Transfermarkt does not use an algorithm (you can find the detailed market value definition here).
