Transfermarkt has updated the market values of 388 players in the Greek Super League this December. It's a division that has become renowned for producing great young talent in recent years. Brighton paid Olympiacos €35 million for striker Charalampos Kostoulas in the summer, whilst forward Stefanos Tzimas is also now a Seagull, after German side Nurnberg originally paid PAOK €18m for his services. We have picked out three young stars currently plying their trade in Greece, who have each been given upgrades this winter, including the Golden Boy Web award winner, and bring you expert insight from TM's Greek expert on the latest youngsters.
Christos Mouzakitis - Golden Boy web winner is league MVP
Christos Mouzakitis is one of Greece's rising stars and was recently voted 'Golden Boy Web' 2025 winner by Tuttosport after fans voted worldwide for the 18-year-old. This December, his market value rises from €15m to €25m, making him the biggest winner of the update and the most valuable player in the entire Greek Super League. Nikos Sofis is Transfermarkt's Area Manager in Greece, and tells us more about the Olympiacos wonderkid: "Mouzakitis has of course gained a lot of attention, through his performances, the maturity of his play at his young age, already playing for the national team, winning the Golden Boy Web award 2025, etc.

"It's not a surprise that the biggest teams around Europe want to get him. He is a central midfielder, but he is versatile. He can also fall back to act more defensively and can join in the attacking play. I see a great future for Mouzakitis. He is incredibly humble, and I believe he will always keep that trait. Therefore, the sky really is the limit for him, and he seems destined to play for a top club." Mouzakitis is now the joint-10th most valuable U18 player in world football.
Giannis Konstantelias - 'The Greek Messi'
Another big winner from the update was PAOK attacking midfielder Giannis Konstantelias. The 22-year-old rose from €17m to €20m, and is now the second most valuable player in the league, only behind Mouzakitis. Sofis explains more about the PAOK talent: "Konstantelias, who has been nicknamed the "Greek Messi" by some areas of the media, is a very technically gifted player, who can always find solutions in the attacking third. He is an attacking midfielder many teams would want. He also has massive interest from some of the biggest teams in Europe, but nonetheless decided to extend his contract with PAOK until 2029."
Konstantinos Tzolakis - A GK with a big future
Konstantinos Tzolakis is a young goalkeeper that is beginning to gather some serious interest from Europe's top leagues. The Olympiacos 23-year-old shot-stopper's value rises by +€2m to a new figure of €15m. Sofis reveals more: "Tzolakis is a very talented goalkeeper with massive potential. He still needs to work on his decision making, as he is prone to mistakes which have lead to conceding goals, but then there are times when he is unbeatable. Once he improves and lowers the rate of his errors, then he certainly can also have a very big career at a top team or top league around Europe. And there already is interest in him."
How Transfermarkt market values work
The Transfermarkt market values are calculated, taking into account various pricing models. A major factor is the Transfermarkt community, whose members discuss and evaluate player market values in detail. In general, the Transfermarkt market values are not to be equated with transfer fees.
The goal is not to predict a price but an expected value of a player in a free market. Both individual transfer modalities and situational conditions are relevant in determining market values. Examples of this are listed below. Transfermarkt does not use an algorithm (you can find the detailed market value definition here).
