Sticking the ball in the back of the net is still the most valuable skill that a footballer can call upon and very few things hike up a player's market value like plenty of potential. So when we combine young age with prolific attacking stats like goals and assists, we very quickly pull together a list of some of the most promising and sought-after players in football. So which players under the age of 21 have scored and created the most goals in 2025 so far? Let’s take a look.



To no great surprise, the U21 star that has scored the most goals and assists in Europe's top five leagues and corresponding cup competitions is none other than Barcelona star Lamine Yamal. Prior to this international break, the Spanish winger had bagged an incredible 32 goals and assists in just 39 games, averaging 0.82 goal contributions per game. And, as we can see in the table below, he’s considerably ahead of second-placed Désiré Doué, despite the fact that the Paris Saint-Germain attacking talent has 13 goals and 13 assists in 39 games, averaging an impressive 0.67 goals or assists per appearance.

As we can see, Doué is also considerably ahead of the chasing pack, with no less than three Turkish stars fighting over third place. Real Madrid star Arda Güler technically sits third with seven goals and 10 assists in 31 games, but Eintracht Frankfurt prospect Can Uzun is in close pursuit with 14 goals and assists in 26 games. Which means Uzun (0.54 goals and assists per game) is actually averaging more than his compatriot Güler (0.53 per game). Juventus forward Kenan Yıldız, who has so far bagged 13 goals and assists in 31 games this year, takes fifth place.



When we take a look at the full list of the top 21 U21 talents with the most goals and assists in 2025, we can see a number of familiar faces but also some intriguing new names that may be worth noting for the future. Among the top 20 no player has a higher goals and assists per game average than Yamal, but eighth-placed Assane Diao of Como is currently averaging 0.56 goal contributions per 90 at the Italian club this year. And, despite sitting ninth on the table for total goal contributions, Chelsea talent Tyrique George’s average of 0.43 goals and assists per game is actually the sixth most impressive among the top 20 list.
