It’s not been a vintage year in the world of football but 2025 has undeniably thrown up some fascinating storylines and thrilling fixtures. PSG won the Champions League for the first time in their history after the French giant's decade-long quest to win the ultimate trophy in club football. Liverpool equalled Manchester United’s record of most English top-flight titles with 20 after Arne Slot led the Merseyside club to the Premier League crown.

Normal service resumed in Germany as Bayern Munich regained dominance in the Bundesliga, while Napoli reclaimed the Scudetto to spark incredible celebrations in Naples. The Club World Cup underwent major restructuring and Chelsea emerged victorious in the United States after easing past PSG in the final. Numerous high-profile players are enjoying an incredible year and we’ve analysed which players gained the most market value across 2025, so far.

The biggest market value winners in 2025

Two players have received €65 million upgrades this season already; Michael Olise and Alexander Isak. Olise ranks top of our list due to Transfermarkt’s policy of ranking players based on age and the French international is three years younger than Isak. Olise has enjoyed an incredible 2025 and his market value has doubled after consistently outstanding performances for Bayern Munich. Isak truly cemented his reputation as a world-class striker at Newcastle before earning his move to Liverpool for a British record transfer fee.

Nick Woltemade was the biggest winner of the Premier League update, receiving a €35m upgrade to reflect the fee Newcastle paid for him and he ranks third overall - Woltemade’s teammate Sandro Tonali ranks ninth. Two summer signings by Real Madrid feature in the top ten with Dean Huijsen and Franco Mastantuono. Unsurprisingly, two of PSG’s key players in their Champions League success are present in Désiré Doué and Ballon d’Or winner Ousmane Dembélé.
