With the 2025/26 season now in full swing, Transfermarkt has released its latest market value updates this December to reward those who had started the season in exceptional form. Several youngsters enhanced their already blossoming reputations, whilst some of the very top superstars also went up and down in value. We have compiled a star-studded list of the 100 most valuable players in the world right now. If players have the same market value, the younger player ranks higher.



The top 100 most valuable footballers in the world


In first place is teenage superstar, Lamine Yamal. The 18-year-old already has a market value of €200 million. Despite his age, he has already won two LaLiga titles with Barcelona, lifted Euro 2024 with Spain, and consistently shone on the biggest stage for club and country. In second spot is now Manchester City's prolific striker Erling Haaland (€200m) who beats third placed Kylian Mbappé (€200m) as he is a year younger than the Real Madrid superstar - they both rose by +€20m in the latest updates. Real Madrid and England midfielder Jude Bellingham is fourth - the 22-year-old has a market value of €160m after a -€20m drop this winter. Fellow Los Blancos hero Vinicius Junior takes fifth with a €150m valuation.



Barcelona's 22-year-old midfielder Pedri is sixth with a market value of €140m, followed by Bayern Munich's prodigy Jamal Musiala in seventh with a €130m value. Bukayo Saka is now eighth having fallen to €130m with a -€10m downgrade in the latest Premier League update. Bayern Munich winger Michael Olise is ninth with a €130m market value, with Chelsea's Cole Palmer completing the top 10 at €120m. Nine other players have a market value of €100m+. In the list of the top 100 world MVP's, the only player to feature playing for a club outside of Europe's top-five leagues is Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen (42nd at €75m).



As illustrated in the graphic above, when it comes to teams with the most players to feature in the current 100 world MVP's, Real Madrid lead the way with ten stars within the top 100 worth a combined €1.06m. Arsenal also have 10 stars, but only worth €825m. They are followed by PSG (9), Barcelona (8), Manchester City (8), Liverpool (7) and Bayern Munich (7). Chelsea are next with six players, followed by Inter Milan with four, and Newcastle with four.
