Christos Mouzakitis is one of Greece's rising stars and has now been voted 'Golden Boy Web' 2025 by Tuttosport after fans voted worldwide. The 18-year-old midfielder from Olympiacos Piraeus follows in the footsteps of Juventus sensation Kenan Yıldız, who received the most votes last year. The award ceremony will take place on December 1, 2025 at the Museo Nazionale dell'Automobile in Turin.
The "Golden Boy Web" award was presented for the first time last year. Fans worldwide had the opportunity to vote for their favourite among 100 nominated players. Mouzakitis prevailed against competitors such as Juventus professional Yıldız, Real Madrid's Arda Güler and Borussia Dortmund's Jobe Bellingham.
With a market value of €15 million, Mouzakitis is the most valuable player at Olympiacos and the second most valuable in the Greek Super League 1. Clubs such as Manchester United and Arsenal are said to have already scouted the Athens-born player, and the six-time Greek international has also been linked with Borussia Dortmund in the past.
PSG's Doué named 'Golden Boy' 2025
Paris Saint-Germain's Désiré Doué had previously been named 'Golden Boy' for 2025 by Tuttosport. The coveted trophy has been awarded since 2003 and has had numerous notable winners, including Erling Haaland, Kylian Mbappé and Lionel Messi.
From a German perspective, Mario Götze's victory in 2011 is likely to be remembered. At the end of each season, Tuttosport publishes a list of 100 professionals under the age of 21, which is shortlisted to 25 in October. Fifty selected journalists then choose the winner from among them.
