It's transfer window may be closed in Europe's top leagues, but the rumours continue to circulate as clubs plan out future moves. Teams are working tirelessly behind the scenes on identifying targets and figuring out their budgets.

Managers will be constantly assessing their squads with sporting directors and recruitment staff scanning the market for potential deals. The rumour mill is still gathering pace and we've collated some of the biggest current transfer stories.

Today's biggest transfer stories

Chelsea have reportedly agreed to sign Deinner Ordóñez from Independiente del Valle. Multiple outlets claim the Blues have struck a deal to capture for the 16-year-old centre-back to join in 2028 after he starred for Ecuador at the Under-17 World Cup. He will become the third Independiente academy graduate to join Chelsea following Moisés Caicedo and Kendry Páez.

AZ Alkmaar are keen to start a bidding war for Dutch sensation Kees Smit, with Newcastle, Real Madrid and Barcelona all keen on the midfielder. The 19-year-old has attracted interest from Europe's elite and the Eredivisie club will not stand in Smit's way. However, they want at least €25 million for their prized asset.

Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus is reportedly keen to return to Brazil in the future. The Brazilian, 28, has been hampered by injury since joining the Gunners and is behind Viktor Gyökeres and Kai Havertz in the pecking order. Jesus' contract expires in June 2027 and Arsenal may decide to cash in, with a return to his former club Palmeiras after nearly a decade not out of the question.
