For over 20 years, Transfermarkt has assigned values to players using various metrics to calculate realistic figures based upon market trends. After the culmination of the European football season at the end of May, Transfermarkt released updates for all the major leagues across the globes.

The top 100 most valuable players in the world
Every player within the top 100 most valuable in the world plays for top-five league clubs and after the recent updates, Lamine Yamal became the new world MVP. The Barcelona wonderkid has enjoyed a stratospheric rise across the last 18 months and his market value grew by €110m across last season - more than any other player - to his current valuation of €200m. That landmark valuation has only ever been reached by three other players in history - Kylian Mbappé, Erling Haaland and Vinicius Junior.
As the graphic above illustrates, the aforementioned trio all feature in the top five list alongside Jude Bellingham - three Real Madrid players feature. Despite the Premier League being the most valuable league in the world, Bukayo Saka, Haaland, and new Liverpool signing Florian Wirtz are the only English top-flight players in the top 10.
